Если уж на то пошло, то атмосферное явление, давшее название этому сооружению, то есть миру-кольцу из игры, по-русски называется "гало".
А "Хало" - это уже транскрипция локализаторов.
И вообще - есть устоявшиеся переводческие нормы передачи звуков иностранных языков. Вы же не думаете, что, к примеру, имя "Гарри Поттер" в английском звучит так же, как по-русски передано?
